History

He started his salon career at 13 as a shop-boy and, enlivened by the desire to grow professionally, he enrolled at a specialization school for hairstylists. Here he had the chance to distinguish himself through his talent and creativity, and in 1964 he undertook the role of teacher.

In 1965 he met Daniela, his future wife, with whom after 4 years he opened his first salon in Prato. He immediately became an important point of reference for that city’s clientele.

In 1970 Gabrio and Daniela invested their first substantial earnings into a specialization workshop in London and Paris, two cities at the forefront of fashion-trend research and ideas. Years of intense, meticulous studying would follow along with domestic and international success.

1980 was an important year for Gabrio: he surrounded himself with a group of up-and-coming, emerging hairstylists and founded the Gabrio Staff organization.

In 1981 a young, 20-year old hairstylist named Zeno Sorini became part of Gabrio Staff. He would distinguish himself immediately by way of his aesthetic taste as well as his technical-stylistic and managerial skills. He would become Gabrio’s right-hand man and foremost hairstylist on the international fashion scene. That same year the Florence Salon would open; the second one in the chain. It would be followed by ones in Empoli and the two in Mantua, right up till the number of salons that exist today. The growth has been continuous from year to year.

In 2004 Gabrio Staff enhanced itself by getting into the well-being sector through the opening of the Wellness Center. This centrally located, Florentine salon would in 2007 become the first true Italian Hair Spa; a genuine cathedral of beauty and wellness for the hair and the body.

Today Gabrio Staff is professional phenomenon on an international level. Among its shows there is: Germany, Switzerland, France, England, Holland, the United States (Miami, Los Angeles, New York) and Japan (Tokyo and Osaka). Gabrio Staff also contributes and collaborates with some of the main Italian and foreign beauty-and-fashion magazines.
